The food was really good. I had the skirt steak, it was too big for me to finish which is always good. I loved their house potatoes with sautéed spinach, it comes with a lot of garlic. YUMM. They also have strong drinks, I recommend the Mojito. You should really check it out for yourself. You won't be disappointed. The service was great for us but we were also the only table there since we went right when they opened.
Loved the show! Never have bin to a place so nice as this. I really enjoyed my time there. ❤❤
Pretty lit on the weekend. Food is aightt; good enough. Service was great. Old school place, and that's the charm. Can't experience that classic Latin charm in many places -- unless you got uncles and aunties in yo' fam and they invite you to their Hispanic cookouts.
Came here 10 years ago -food nor ambience had improved - waitress did well for location not being busy... will not come back for a while
Worst restaurant everrrr. Service is terrible and the workers don't give af about the customers. On top of that the forks and knives are dirty and they did not properly wash their wears. The napkin on the table is cheap paper and the tables aren't steady. The food is not worth the price and very nasty. On top of that the bathrooms are in terrible condition and smells really bad. TBH the bread is the best part. They don't know how to cook properly. This is not a good place.Buy some mcdonalds please cause after this your stomach would puke up itself 🤣😭
· The décor is not the best (dated), but don't let it distract you from good food and entertainment. · On Mondays (and possibly Tuesdays) you're invited to participate in Tango lessons with professional dancers. · On Saturdays they sing and the dancefloor is open for customers to dance as well. The music is pretty old though. · They usually have Groupons for this place as well. Let them know beforehand that you have a Groupon.· They have a decently stocked bar. · My fave plate is the Skirt steak (entraña) and white wine sangria. Enjoy! · Waiter was attentive and helpful (some places aren't like that when you have a Groupon).
Awesome place for weekend dinner.
The service was good and the food came out quickly. Place is a bit out dated. The food was not fresh or tasty. We were very disappointed. Unless something changes we will not come back again.
Im a native and the food here is overpriced and not good. They serve chicken and pork on ARGENTINA BBQ>?? WTF, why not add fish while you are at it...?Russian salad sucked, empanadas are microwaved and wet.Very expensive $100 for 2 people. Its all about their show and dance, just go for music and show, not for food. Go for drinks and appetizers nothing else.Doesnt even looks like Argentine restaurants, they have this weird Russian mob feel to it. Very dark and velvet feel to the walls was tacky if anything.
Went there on a Sunday night with my family. We were one of 3 tables in the restaurant and the service was horrible. It took 20 minutes for my kids to get their soft drinks and they brought the wrong ones when they finally showed up at the table. The food was mediocre at best, the wine list is paltry and the decor is shabby.Went there with a groupon and will never go again
Went there for my moms birthday and we all loved it. The atmosphere was nice, it felt somehow cozy. Waitress was very nice. The food was delicious and the portions were perfect. We ordered cocktails and they were all delicious as well. The show was amazing, we really enjoyed it. Its also nice how they offer to teach you a little bit of Tango dance before thy start to perform- this is where they encourage people to dance. The guitarist and singers were delightful. This is a great place for families. Would really recommend it.
Amazing food, service, and entertainment. This is one of my favorite places to go in Queens. The skirt steak is amazing.
Food was amazing the atmosphere was great i loved the music and the show was awsome its a great place to go and have a good time
The food is consistently good. The service is fast.
I love the fish, good steak, next time I will try the Parrillada
I love love love this place! Born and raised in forest hills and know all the restaurants around. Most restaurants come and go and this one has been around forever! It's authentic and generous! You get amazing food! Large portions and a real old school authentic vibe! They have Argentine tango on the weekends. Highly recommended! 😊😊
I was there twice, four years ago and it was great.but today I am very disappointed. The poor barmaid had to served drinks and also be a waitress and a busboy. She was very nice and deserves my respect. There was no tango show, the live music was very short and my food was very salty. Too expensive and all my friends complained because the music was boring. In few words..Tango steak house lost one more client..Me.
This is a must go to place at least once if you live in Forest Hills. This is a very oldskool style restaurant with oldskool latin entertainment. I mean they literally have a stack of CDs in the corner and a disco ball which gives the place it's authentic charm. I always feel Like I'm in one of those Martin Scorsese gangster movies when I'm there. Food is very tasty no issues there. They have live Tango dancers and band but be aware they will ask you to join in and show your tango skills. All in all this place is fun cozy and a good change of pace from the typical Forest Hills spots.
I love this place good customer service, delicious food and the show is great!
Nice place. Quiet and good serve
The waiter was nice, however.. The food was flavorless and it took about an hour for them to actually bring my food. Not just my food but all of my friends' foods. I have heard of people saying that this is the worst argentian food restaurant in NYC. It's also very expensive. Why would anyone want to pay a lot of money for flavorless food? If I had the chance to meet professional chef, Gordon Ramsay, without second guessing, I'd tell him to come to this restaurant and check what is going on inside their kitchen, because I honestly believe that these people reheat frozen foods, season them with imaginary salt, throw it on a plate and call it "authentic". But that's just my experience, if you want to eat here and see for yourself by all means do so. Your choice.
The steak was flavorless , the restrooms are terrible , the ceilings are moldy . This place needs to be shut down .
What a great place! Friendly atmosphere, talented musicians, and of course exquisite Argentinean food!! The owners are very involved with their guests; from performing classics on stage, to greeting customers during their meals... While we enjoyed our meals, we were invited to a complimentary Tango lesson, which in itself was tons of fun! My personal favorites were the beef empanadas ( accompanied to an amazing chimichurri sauce, omg!) and the sangria (both red and white🍷)... And if you have a sweet tooth, the flan is to die for! Overall, a great family oriented restaurant! Looking forward to going again soon😊
I think they can do better need more cleaning
There are menus taped in the front window, and as you can see from my pictures, many insects have ventured forth and perished, trapped between the menu and the dirty window.I'm pretty easy going. I fully understand that sometimes things happen that's out of our control, but if a restaurant has such a lack of attention about what happens in their front windows, can you IMAGINE what kind of shenanigans occur for something that's NOT in the public eye, like the kitchen?Aside from having maybe 30-40 dead insects, the windows were greasy and dirty. Seriously, folks: your front windows are the very first thing your customers see. You should pay a little more attention to them.As we were walking in, I noticed the horror of the front windows and we walked right back out.
Cash only🤔. My churrasco was chewy. Pricey place.
The place was great. I'm 23 and I feel like the music was amazing. My parents loved it. We danced many songs. If your parents are over 45 they will love the tango and music. The food was so yummy and the sangria was great! A go to for a great experience!! Go if you've never gone before. Live entertainment! Great ambiance!
My experience was fabulous. Was reminded of dining in a cruise. Great latin music, live music, professional tango dancers and a tango class along with a great Gaucho steak, juicy, broiled perfectly, and great side dishes as well. The only complaint I have was the stuffed shells for the appetizer - too much bread crumbs in some, not enough meat.
Restaurant smelled like cat urine. Food overpriced, taste was not great, waitress had a serious case of RBF, was not attentive at all, she sat across the restaurant stuck on her phone most of the time and still added 20% tip for herself on the bill for doing nothing. I love Argentinian food, I traveled one hour to get to this restaurant and was disappointed in all areas. We all regret coming here. Never again.
we went last year the food wasent to god but the show was ok,this in 2016,we went back for mother day 2017,meet wast horrible, not just mine ,6 of us order meet the all said the same thing, and they charge you alot! no good ,the loose a costomer, big time, the meet quality from 1 to 10 is 1,yes 1
Owners are not Argentinean however very pleasant. Service was not the greatest by the waiter and, after complaining, the waitress waa excellent. The show was ok and the food portions were just right
Had a great experience here. The Argentinian meat is really good.
We went there to celebrate my nephew's wedding and the quality of food is excellent, ambiance is perfect and the owners treated us like family! We love it and recommend it! ❤
Food was ok. Ordered the fried calamari and it was super chewy, seemed frozen. Chimichurri looked like it's been sitting in the fridge for days. The grilled meats were the highlight of the meal. Decor is a bit outdated too.
Excellent and delicious food, very kind and attentive staff. I went for my birthday, with some friends using a Groupon Voucher. At the beggining, I was a little reluctant because of other people reviews, but Thank God, once I got to the place I found a very friendly welcome from the owner, Enrique and the waitress, Christopher. The food was delicious, we order the fried calamari and Mussels for appetizers. The entree was the parrillada for 2, which was tasty and plentiful, the wine was Malbec, very good though I don't know much about wines, and the dessert was tiramisú. Everything, from the beggining to end was excellent, the service, the food that arrived promptly and delicious and the environment; they even sang the Happy Birthday song to me, and brought some candles. Overall, one of the best experiences I had in a Restaurant. Probably the other reviews were in a bad day, I highly recommend it.
It the first time I am come here. Unbelievable ,the steak can't cut by the knife. Even i Don't want to eat just through out. It never happened for a 25 dollars steak.
Horrible food. Horrible service. It took 30 minutes for the appetizer of 2 empanadas and stuffed baked clams. Then another 30 minutes for my steak and baked potato. The empanadas tasted like a frozen pastry and the baked clams were all stuffing...NO CLAM MEAT. Had to ask for steak sauce midway through my steak. Food was bland. Best thing was the bread and the mediocre house wine.
I was reluctant to go here based on d reviews, but happy I went, the Hawaiian skirt steak n mussels were beyond good, I would definitely recommend this place, n d live entertainment was also great.
Bad experience! We order the mixed grill for 2. Cold not eat, bad quality meat.I will never go back.
